Kano Pillars seek home advantage against Sporting Lagos in NPFL Matchday Seven

Kano Pillars will look to extend their unbeaten run when they host Sporting Lagos in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday Seven fixture.

The Sai Masu Gida have avoided defeat in their last five league matches this season and sit sixth in the table with nine points.

They were held to a goalless draw by Enyimba at the Sani Abacha Stadium last weekend, but will hope to turn home advantage into three points against Sporting Lagos.

Sporting Lagos have won only once in their past four league games. Jeffrey Buter’s team did, however, claim an impressive 3-2 away victory against nine-time NPFL champions Enyimba during that run.

They followed that result with a goalless draw against Ikorodu City in a local derby on Wednesday.

Both sides will be seeking maximum points from a Matchday Seven meeting that brings together Kano Pillars’ strong recent form and Sporting Lagos’ need to return to winning ways.
