Kano Pillars announce RAFA Detergent as new front-of-shirt sponsor

Kano Pillars have agreed a new sponsorship partnership with RAFA Detergent, which will become the club’s official front-of-shirt sponsor for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

The deal was announced by the club on Sunday.

“We are delighted to announce RAFA Detergent as our Official Front Jersey Sponsor,” Kano Pillars said in a statement.

“This partnership marks another important milestone in the growth of Sai Masu Gida as we welcome RAFA Detergent to the Kano Pillars family.”

RAFA Detergent’s logo will appear on the front of both the club’s home and away shirts during the coming NPFL campaign.

The company replaces Radio France International (RFI) Hausa, who occupied the front-of-shirt position last season in a deal worth N100m.

Kano Pillars’ agreement with RAFA Detergent is part of a wider effort to attract private-sector investment and reduce the club’s reliance on funding from the state government.

That approach has been driven by the club’s General Manager and former Nigeria international Ahmed Musa. It has already resulted in partnerships with RFI Hausa and a number of businesses based in Kano.

RAFA Detergent is described as one of the fastest-growing detergent brands in Northern Nigeria. The company becomes the latest detergent brand to sponsor Kano Pillars, following Viva Detergent’s spell as the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor.

Aspira Nigeria’s Viva brand held that position during the 2020/21 season.

Kano Pillars are expected to unveil their new shirts carrying the RAFA branding before Matchday 8.

The club’s announcement comes after the NPFL fined Kano Pillars N15m for misconduct, although the sponsorship agreement represents a separate commercial development under Musa’s leadership.
