Kanchelskis says Carrick is not solely responsible for Manchester United’s struggles

Former Manchester United player Andrei Kanchelskis has assessed the difficult situation facing the club, insisting that Michael Carrick cannot be held responsible for everything.

Manchester United are currently 13th in the Premier League after six matches, with six points. The club are therefore sitting in the bottom half of the table.

Their record in the Champions League is also mixed. Manchester United have collected three points from their first two matches in the league phase.

The campaign began with a convincing 4-0 victory against Sabah. However, that result was followed by a 2-0 defeat by Atletico Madrid in the Spanish capital on Tuesday evening.

Kanchelskis was discussing the problems at his former club when he argued that the responsibility for Manchester United’s current position should not rest with Carrick alone.
