Juventus have intensified their interest in Sassuolo midfielder Darryl Bakola after the youngster made an impressive start to the season.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, new Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali has already spoken to Sassuolo’s Francesco Palmieri about Bakola. Further discussions between the clubs are expected to take place in the coming weeks.
The midfielder found regular first-team opportunities difficult to secure last season, but has established himself as an exciting prospect during the current campaign. His performance against Juventus was particularly influential in attracting the club’s attention.
Juventus are keen to act quickly to prevent Premier League clubs from entering the race for Bakola. Carnevali’s strong relationship with Sassuolo could help the Italian club’s efforts to reach an agreement.
Vasilije Adzic may also play a part in any potential deal. The Juventus youngster is currently enjoying an impressive loan spell at Sassuolo, further strengthening the relationship between the two clubs.
