Juventus are exploring a possible move to bring Brentford right-back Michael Kayode back to Italy next summer.
The 22-year-old has impressed for Keith Andrews’ side this season, earning a place in the Italy national team this month. Kayode’s distinctive long throw-ins and his energetic runs from right-back have become important features of Brentford’s approach.
Kayode agreed a contract extension during pre-season which keeps him at Brentford until 2032. That deal gives the club a strong negotiating position should Juventus decide to pursue their interest.
The Serie A club have identified Kayode as a potential signing as part of a long-term rebuilding project in Turin. Juventus could therefore wait until next summer before making a formal approach for the defender.
Kayode’s value to Brentford is particularly clear from throw-in situations. He is regarded as the most dangerous throw-in taker in the Premier League, and his influence in that area could push any potential valuation towards £50m.
