Arnaud Yao has left Burkina Faso for Morocco after signing a three-year contract with Hassania Union Sport Agadir, according to Africafoot.
The forward will continue his career in Morocco with HUSA after agreeing to remain at the club until the end of the next three seasons. His move follows an impressive 2025-2026 campaign with Racing Club de KADIOGO (RCK), during which he scored 12 goals in Ligue 1 burkinabe.
Yao’s performances had attracted attention beyond Burkina Faso, and he was initially announced as a player for TP Mazembe. However, that transfer did not go through after the two parties encountered administrative differences.
The breakdown of the proposed move has now been followed by a switch to Hassania Agadir, where Yao will begin a new chapter in his career. The Moroccan club have secured the services of a striker who finished the previous season with 12 league goals for RCK.
His three-season agreement with HUSA gives the forward a clear destination after the uncertainty surrounding his proposed move to TP Mazembe. Rather than joining the Congolese club, Yao will now continue his development in Morocco and wear the colours of Hassania Union Sport Agadir.
The transfer also represents a change of country for the striker, who has spent the previous stage of his career in Burkina Faso. His departure comes after a productive season with RCK, where his goals played a central part in establishing his profile in Ligue 1 burkinabe.
Hassania Agadir’s agreement with Yao means the player’s next steps have been settled following the administrative complications that prevented the TP Mazembe deal from being completed. Africafoot reported the move, with the Moroccan club now set to become the latest side to benefit from the attacker’s goalscoring ability.
The contract will keep Yao at HUSA for the next three seasons, while his 12-goal campaign for RCK provides the immediate background to the transfer. For the player, the move offers an opportunity to build on that form in Morocco after his intended move to TP Mazembe collapsed.
Yao therefore leaves Burkina Faso having completed a notable season at club level and arrives at Hassania Agadir with his next three years already decided. His transfer brings an end to the speculation created by the failed TP Mazembe move and confirms that his career will continue under the colours of HUSA.
