Liverpool defender Giovanni Leoni could return to first-team training during November’s international break, manager Andoni Iraola says.
The Italy defender’s recovery has taken about a month longer than originally planned. Iraola also confirmed that Leoni’s injury involved more than the anterior cruciate ligament.
Leoni suffered the serious knee injury in September 2025 during his Liverpool debut against Southampton in the League Cup.
The defender has not played for the club since.
