Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma could leave the club if it receives a serious punishment over alleged financial misconduct, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.
Donnarumma joined Manchester City after leaving Paris Saint-Germain, but a worsening situation at the English club could lead to renewed interest from Italy. Before his move to Manchester City, the 27-year-old was reportedly wanted by both Milan and Inter.
The two Milan-based clubs could consider making another approach for the goalkeeper if Manchester City faces significant sanctions. No decision on Donnarumma’s future has been reported, but his position could become a subject of speculation should the club’s situation deteriorate.
Donnarumma came through Milan’s academy and made his first-team debut for the club in 2015. He remained with Milan until 2021, when he moved to Paris Saint-Germain. After four years in France, he completed his transfer to Manchester City in 2025.
The Italy international has made seven appearances in all competitions this season and has conceded eight goals.
