Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has made clear that his side’s Champions League meeting with Paris Saint-Germain is more important to him than the forthcoming El Clasico against Real Madrid.
Barcelona face two major fixtures in quick succession, with PSG first in the Champions League before the league meeting with Real Madrid. Asked at his news conference which match carried greater importance the following day’s game against PSG or El Clasico Flick gave a straightforward answer.
“Every next match is always important. So, at the moment, it is tomorrow’s game against PSG,” he said.
Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona will begin their third-round fixture in the league phase of the Champions League on 20 October at 22:00 Moscow time.
