Erling Haaland reportedly favours Barcelona over Real Madrid amid transfer speculation

Erling Haaland could be one of the leading figures in next summer’s transfer market, with reports claiming the Manchester City striker has decided to leave the club at the end of the 2026/2027 season.

A new report published by El Nacional says the Norway international has already made up his mind about his future. Manchester City’s difficulties over alleged breaches of financial regulations are said to have strengthened Haaland’s desire to move on.

The 26-year-old’s next destination could be La Liga. According to the source cited by Gazeta.Ru, Haaland would prefer a move to Barcelona rather than Real Madrid.

The report does not suggest that a transfer has been completed, but presents Barcelona as the striker’s favoured option should he leave Manchester City.

Haaland is valued at €220m by experts at the Transfermarkt website.
