Endrick’s Real Madrid future in doubt as AC Milan and Roma consider January move

Endrick is increasingly considering a move to Serie A as his prospects at Real Madrid become uncertain, with AC Milan and Roma emerging as possible destinations for the Brazilian forward in January.

The 20-year-old has made almost no impact for Madrid this season and was an unused substitute again on Saturday, when Jose Mourinho’s side beat Villarreal 1-0.

Endrick has played only four minutes of LaLiga football. His lack of opportunities has raised concerns over his development and how much longer he can wait for a regular role at the Bernabeu.

Sources indicate that a move to Italy is now being considered more seriously by the forward, who would hope to revive his progress by securing more consistent first-team football.

AC Milan are regarded as the most likely destination at this stage. However, Roma’s impressive start to the season has increased their confidence that they could challenge for his signature.

Real Madrid also face a decision over how to manage a situation that could affect Endrick’s market value. The longer he remains out of the team, the greater the risk that his value will fall.

He arrived in Spain with a reputation as a future Brazil superstar, but his development has stalled. If he cannot establish himself before January, a departure during the winter transfer window is becoming an increasingly realistic possibility.

Competition for attacking places at Madrid is intense. Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior are among the established forwards ahead of Endrick, while Yan Diomande is also being considered as part of the club’s attacking options.

That makes Endrick’s path into the side even more difficult, although the uncertainty at Madrid goes beyond the position of one young player.

Mourinho is trying to create balance in a squad where the attacking hierarchy remains under scrutiny. Mbappe’s role has attracted attention, while Vinicius was left on the bench against Villarreal before being introduced in the second half and later sent off.

Mourinho was visibly animated on the touchline during the narrow victory, reflecting the pressure on a team still searching for the right combination.

For Endrick, though, the immediate issue is his own development. At 20, he needs regular football to show the qualities that made him one of Brazil’s most highly regarded prospects.

Staying at Madrid without a clear route into the team could cost him valuable time. Serie A may provide the chance to rebuild his confidence and establish himself at senior level.

A January move would be a major decision for both Endrick and Real Madrid. But with AC Milan and Roma potentially able to offer regular football, his future at the Bernabeu appears increasingly fragile.
