Egypt and Algeria will meet in the third-place match of the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations 2026 on Wednesday, 21 October, with both sides aiming to end their campaigns on the podium.
The match will be played at the Moulay-Abdellah Hall in Rabat, according to the official competition schedule. Kick-off is set for 17:00 local time in Morocco.
The game will start at 18:00 in Algeria, 19:00 in France and 20:00 in Egypt. The time difference is linked to Morocco’s return to GMT (UTC+0) on 20 September 2026, while Algeria remains on GMT+1.
How to watch
The match will be shown free of charge on CAF TV, the official YouTube channel of the Confederation africaine de football.
CAF previously confirmed that all 16 matches at the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations 2026 would be available on its platform.
In Morocco, Arryadia is also expected to broadcast the fixture, having shown the other matches in the tournament.
Algeria will be competing for a place on the podium after an historic run at their first appearance in the competition. The Fennecs progressed from the group stage and reached the semi-finals, but were denied a place in the final by Angola.
They appeared to be in control after taking a 2-0 lead, only for Angola to fight back and claim a 3-2 victory. The result ended Algeria’s hopes of reaching their first continental final.
Egypt suffered an even heavier semi-final defeat. The three-time African champions were beaten 6-0 by hosts Morocco, who produced a dominant display to reach the final.
The Pharaons had finished second in Group B behind Angola, while Algeria secured second place in Group A behind Morocco to reach the knockout stage.
The two teams therefore arrive at the third-place match with contrasting objectives. Egypt will be seeking to restore some pride after a damaging semi-final loss and underline their status as one of African futsal’s historic powers.
For Algeria, a victory would add a medal to a tournament that has already exceeded expectations on their debut. The Fennecs will now have the chance to complete their breakthrough campaign with a third-place finish.
