Chelsea are interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Martin Zubimendi and are preparing an offer of about 70 million euros, according to El Nacional.
The 27-year-old Spain international has reportedly agreed to a January transfer to the team managed by Xabi Alonso, potentially bringing an end to his time at Arsenal after less than two seasons.
Zubimendi joined Arsenal last summer but has not established himself as a regular in the first team. Chelsea are now considering a move for the midfielder as they look to take advantage of his reported willingness to switch clubs.
The proposed fee would be close to Zubimendi’s current market valuation of 75 million euros. Arsenal’s contract with the player runs until the end of June 2030.
A move would see Zubimendi remain in London while changing clubs, with Chelsea seeking to secure his signing during the January transfer window.
