Espanyol forward Roberto Fernandez has emerged as a transfer target for clubs in Germany after making an impressive start to the 2026/27 LaLiga season.
Fernandez scored only seven top-flight goals throughout the whole of 2025/26. He has already reached six for Espanyol in the current campaign, with his form earning him a Spain debut this month.
His goalscoring run has reportedly attracted attention from the Bundesliga, according to Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg. The interest comes after Espanyol rejected a summer offer from Hull City for the striker.
Several clubs are understood to be monitoring Fernandez, and a move could be pursued as early as January. His release clause has now increased from €25M to €30M.
Fernandez remains under contract with Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium until 2031, leaving the Catalan club in a strong negotiating position. Espanyol will not consider offers below the full value of his release clause.
