Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti visits Real Madrid base alongside Jose Mourinho

Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti has returned to Real Madrid’s training ground in Valdebebas, where he is due to watch the club’s training session. The 67-year-old Italian was also seen with Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho, according to a report shared on social media by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Ancelotti is currently in charge of Brazil but made the visit to the Madrid club’s training complex while in the Spanish capital. His appearance marks a return to the surroundings of the club he managed before taking up his international role.

The Italian has been away from the Real Madrid dugout since leaving his position as head coach in 2025. Following his departure from the Spanish giants, Ancelotti was appointed manager of Brazil.

His presence at Valdebebas brings him back to the club where he previously worked as the manager of one of European football’s leading sides. The visit also placed him alongside Mourinho, the current head coach of Real Madrid.

Ancelotti’s arrival comes with Real Madrid preparing for their next competitive fixture. The Madrid-based club are scheduled to travel to face Real Betis on 4 September.

The match will be Real Madrid’s next outing after Ancelotti’s visit to Valdebebas. No further details were provided about the purpose of the meeting between the Brazil manager and Mourinho, or about the length of Ancelotti’s time at the training ground.

The Italian coach’s return has nevertheless attracted attention because of his recent history with Real Madrid and his present position with Brazil. Ancelotti left the Madrid club in 2025 before moving into international management, while Mourinho is now responsible for the first team.
