Bayern Munich host Arsenal at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday as they look to extend a remarkable Champions League home record.
The German champions remain unbeaten in all competitions in 2026-27 and go into the match as favourites, seeking to overcome last year’s runners-up.
Bayern will be without Michael Olise, who is suspended, with Lennart Karl set to take his place. Vincent Kompany’s side have no other injury concerns.
Arsenal have injury absences of their own, with Piero Hincapie out with an ankle problem, Christos Tzolis missing because of a hamstring injury and William Saliba unavailable with a back issue.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 20:00 UK time, with both teams meeting at the Allianz Arena.
Arsenal arrive in Munich after following up a 1-0 victory over Napoli in Naples with a 3-0 home win against Lille at Emirates Stadium.
Bayern, meanwhile, were held to a 3-3 draw by reigning Norwegian champions Viking in Stavanger. They conceded late in the match and missed the chance to make it two wins from two after beating Bodo / Glimt in their opening fixture.
Confirmed line-ups
Bayern Munich: Urbig, Laimer, Upamecano, Tah, Brown, Kimmich, Pavlovic, Karl, Saibari, Diaz, Kane.
Arsenal: Raya, White, Konsa, Gabriel, Calafiori, Guimaraes, Rice, Saka, Odegaard, Madueke, Havertz.
Bayern’s record at home in the Champions League group stage and league phase is formidable. They have gone 39 matches without defeat in those games, winning 37 since 2013.
The clubs have faced one another 15 times in competitive football, all in the Champions League. Bayern have won eight of those meetings, while Arsenal have four victories and the remaining three matches have ended in draws.
Harry Kane has scored in each of his past nine Champions League appearances for Bayern.
Arsenal have also been defensively consistent in Europe, recording six clean sheets in their last eight Champions League matches. They have shut out both opponents in their opening league-phase fixtures this season.
