Barcelona’s Eric Garcia attracting interest from PSG, Inter and three Premier League clubs

Barcelona defender Eric Garcia could leave the club during the winter transfer window, with interest reportedly coming from Paris Saint-Germain, Inter and three Premier League sides.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are monitoring the 25-year-old, who is also being considered by Paris Saint-Germain, Roma, Inter and Como.

The report indicates that Barcelona are not actively looking to sell Garcia. However, the club would be prepared to enter negotiations if they received an offer worth between €50m and €55m.

There is no suggestion in the report that a transfer has been agreed or that a formal bid has been made. The clubs named are understood to be following Garcia’s situation ahead of the winter window.

Garcia remains a Barcelona player, although his future has become the subject of speculation because of the reported level of interest from clubs in England, France and Italy. Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are the three Premier League representatives linked with the defender, while Paris Saint-Germain, Roma, Inter and Como complete the list of clubs mentioned.

The defender has made three appearances in La Liga this season and has not recorded a goal or an assist.

Barcelona’s reported valuation places Garcia’s potential departure in the €50m-€55m range. While the club are reluctant to part with him, that level of offer would be enough to bring them to the negotiating table, according to the report.

For now, the information concerns interest rather than a completed deal. Garcia’s situation could therefore develop when the winter transfer window opens, with several clubs reportedly keeping track of his availability.
