The information has been reported by Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, which says Barcelona are preparing for the possibility of selling the 29-year-old midfielder.
Barcelona sporting director Deco and president Joan Laporta are understood to be looking for a new club for De Jong. The club hope that teams from the Premier League or Saudi Arabia will show interest in signing him and meet their valuation.
The proposed structure of the deal would see Barcelona receive an initial €50m, with another €15m available through bonuses. No potential buying club has been identified in the report, and there has been no indication that a transfer has been agreed.
De Jong has not played for Barcelona at all this season. He is continuing his recovery from an injury sustained during the 2026 World Cup, according to the report.
