Barcelona have made a perfect start to the season, winning all eight of their matches in the Spanish league and both of their games in the Champions League.
Their latest run has already equalled the club’s own record for victories from the opening matches of a Spanish league campaign, first set in 2013.
Barcelona can now go beyond that mark with a victory in their next league fixture. Success would set a new club record and also allow them to match the all-time record for the best start to a Spanish league season.
That record is held by Real Madrid, who won their first nine league matches in succession during the 1968/1969 season.
Barcelona’s next match will be against Real Betis from Seville.
