Badredine Bouanani is set to continue his career in Scotland after Stuttgart agreed to send the Algeria international to Rangers on a season-long loan.
The 21-year-old winger will spend the 2026/27 campaign with the Glasgow club after Stuttgart accepted a temporary move designed to give him more regular first-team football and help maintain his development.
The agreement also includes an option for Rangers to sign Bouanani permanently at the end of the loan. That clause is understood to be worth about 18 million euros, giving the Scottish club the opportunity to retain the player on a long-term basis if his spell proves successful.
Bouanani joined Stuttgart one year ago following his time with OGC Nice. His move to Rangers represents another step in an increasingly international career, with the player now preparing to experience football in Scotland after arriving in Germany.
His departure from Stuttgart had previously been reported exclusively by Africafoot several months ago. The German club has now allowed the move to go ahead, with Bouanani expected to benefit from greater playing opportunities at Rangers as he seeks to establish himself at senior level.
The winger remains regarded as a player with significant potential. He has been selected five times by Algeria and is continuing to develop his place within the national team setup.
Transfermarkt currently estimates Bouanani’s market value at 10 million euros. The figure is below the value of the purchase option included in his Rangers loan agreement, which would give the club an opportunity to secure a player they view as capable of progressing further.
For Bouanani, the move provides a fresh setting after a year at Stuttgart. He will now attempt to take the next step in his career in British football and turn his potential into consistent performances.
