Alexander Golovin set to stay at Monaco despite Zenit and Spartak interest

Alexander Golovin will remain at Monaco and is not expected to leave the French club, according to Championat.

The 30-year-old Russia midfielder will continue playing for his current team and is not negotiating a move on the final day of the Russian Premier League transfer window.

Reports in the media had linked Golovin with two leading Russian clubs: Zenit St Petersburg and Spartak Moscow.

Golovin is under contract with Monaco until the summer of 2029. His transfer value is reported to be 18m euros.
