Rangers International Coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has been named as one of the assistants of the Nigeria Super Eagles for the African Cup of Nations Qualifiers in September, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Ilechukwu who won the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League joins Remo Stars Coach Daniel Ogunmodede as the assistant Coach for interim Coach Austin Eguavoen.
The two NPFL managers will join the team on Monday at Four Point Sheraton Hotel Ikot Ipene.
The Super Eagles kickstart their campaign toward qualifying for the 2025 tournament with the first match against Benin Republic at the Godswil Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on 7th September.
They play Rwanda three days later at the Armahoro Stadium, Kigali.
Nigeria is drawn in Group D alongside Benin Republic, Libya, and Rwanda.
