Ikorodu City FC’s head coach, Bright Ozebagbe, has resigned his position following his side’s poor start to their maiden Nigeria Premier Football League season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
They have clinched just 1 point from a possible 15 and currently sit in last place on the log.
Ozebagbe who led Ikorodu City to promotion and NNL relegation survival stated in an interview that he no longer enjoys the job.
“I don’t feel happy doing my job, not being appreciated, and I just want to get my mental state away from the club and explore other possibilities,” he said.
Ikorodu City has also confirmed the resignation stating that a replacement will announced in the coming days.
"Ikorodu City Football Club can confirm the resignation of Bright Ozebagbe as head coach of the team.
The club received Ozebagbe's resignation last night after the 1-0 loss to Plateau United in Jos.
