Kelechi Iheanacho celebrates his goal for Manchester City

Manchester City fans are already fearing the worst for Kelechi Iheanacho following the announcement of the signing of Spanish forward Nolito.

A large section of supporters are worried for Iheanacho’s future in the team as Nolito has the trust of new manager Pep Guardiola as the manager has worked with the Spaniard at the B team of Barcelona and understands how the manager wants his team to play.

Young forward Iheanacho burst onto the scene last season for Man City, scoring 14 goals in all competitions from 31 games in a barnstorming debut campaign under former manager Manuel Pelligrini.

Although Wilfred Bony is the player heavily tipped to be sent parking by Guardiola the fact that Nolito can also play from the wings could mean limited game time for the Nigerian even if he end up staying at the Etihad.

The battle for spots will intensify in the coming weeks when pre season gets underway fully with Iheanacho,Bony and Nolito battling to pair first choice forward Sergio Kun Aguero in City’s attack.
