Former FIFA U-17 best player

Super Eagles coach, Imama Amapakabo was left impressed with the duo of Musa Mohammed and Kelechi Iheanacho after watching them play their part in Nigeria's last two internationals against Mali and Luxembourg.

Iheanacho made goal scoring contributions in both fixtures while Mohammed seemingly made the right back position his own with big performances against the African and European sides.

Amapakabo, a member of the Super Eagles' three man consortium of coaches said he was impressed with the display of the team in both matches but singled out Mohammed and Iheanacho for special praise.

"In all my time with the national teams, I have never seen a player as good as Mohammed in the right back position.

"He has great stamina, covers a lot of ground, defends exceptionally and overlaps with intelligence.

"I however think the best part of his game is his tactical awareness; Technically, he's one the best," Amapakabo said.

On Iheanacho, Amapakabo said care must be be taken not to put the 19-year-old under too much pressure.

"I honestly pray that we do not put too much pressure on him because he has the talent to be one of the best in the world.

"He is still young though and has a lot to learn.

"What I was impressed with the most (in those two matches against Luxembourg and Mali) was his humility and willingness to learn.

"Whenever I spoke to him, he always kept his head down and was always willing to learn," he said.
