Ghanaian football consultant Mohammed Al-Wab has advised the Ghana FA to kick against a government white paper which sought to advise the federation against recalling duo Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari back into the Black Stars.
A government of Ghana white paper on the country's wrecked 2014 World Cup campaign advised the federation against recalling the troubled duo into the team.
Muntari and Boateng, who have been frozen out at AC Milan and Schalke 04 respectively were sacked from the Ghana camp during the World Cup in Brazil for insubordination.
While Muntari has been suspended from the national team for attacking a former Black Stars management committee member, Boateng suffered a similar fate for using abusive words on former coach Kwesi Appiah.
The government through a white paper advised the federation against recalling the two players into the team.
But international football consultant Mohammed Al-Wab has rubbished the recommendation, urging the FA to disregard it.
“The GFA should ignore the recommendations of the white paper on the Justice Dzamefe commission of Inquiry seeking that Sulley Muntari and Kevin Prince Boateng should never be re-called into the national team," he told Accra-based Happy FM
"It doesn’t fall in the purview of the government to decide which players are called into the national team or not. It is only the FA and the technical team who can decide to take such an action against both players if they feel that they broke the rules of the FA.
"If the FA gives in to this, it will mean that any external body can also come and say that don’t use this player at the right back position.
He insisted coach Avram Grant is the only man who can decide on their fate.
“The FA have given Avram Grant a mandate and a target and if he needs these players to execute the target given him and the issue has been solved, he can call to play for the Black Stars."
