After the release of club rankings by the International Federation of football history & statistics ( IFFHS ) some days ago, it was realised that no team in the Nigeria Professional Football League made the cut in best twenty teams in Africa.
The ranking shows just 10 African countries featured in the rankings with Egyptian club sides appearing 4 times same as Algerian club sides, Morocco has 3 clubs sides while South Africa and Sudan both have 2 clubs each.
Tunisian, Congo, Angola, Libyan and Tanzanian clubs appear once.
The top team in Africa remains Al Ahly of Egypt while Wydad Casablanca of Morocco followed suit.
