Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze has revealed the monstrous offer he had before his move from Villareal to AC Milan amidst other offers before his eventual switch to Italy, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
In an exclusive interview with Italian news outfit, La Gazzetta dello Sport, the pacy forward who has hit the ground running for pre-season ahead of the 2024/25 campaign stated, “If money were a problem, I would have signed in Saudi Arabia. They wanted me a year ago.”
Admitting the offers from the Arab elite clubs, he said he already made up his mind to come to Milan regardless of the offer.
"My heart was set on Milan. My agent tried to tempt me with lucrative offers, but I was adamant about joining Milan. He eventually gave up trying to convince me".
"Money isn't my priority; it's about believing in myself and building a successful career in Europe. It was more than just money.".
On the actual amount of money he was offered, he admitted that it was more than 10 million net per season as he is now more than committed to the club going forward.
