Enyimba FC have laid the groundwork for an ultramodern gym house at the stadium, to help the players keep fit.
The project which is handled by G&D Buildings and Engineering LTD, will be delivered within the next eight weeks. The contractor, Olayinka Alade spoke about what the company has done so far.
“We are doing a stable and firm structure that can stand the test of time. We have also modified the stormwater drains within the stadium. We’ve tried to create drainages. We’ve found a way we can preserve the structure.
We have already made deposits for treadmills. We also made sure that most of the equipments are such ones that can work without electricity.”
There will be a a reception for the players and others who come to the gym, in order to keep the structure in use. There will also be a locker room for the players to change their wears.
According to Mr Olayinka, the gym equipment will arrive soon. The substructure will be done within four weeks while the total work will last for an estimated time of eight weeks.
Also reacting, the Sporting Director and ex international Ifeanyi Ekwueme described this is one out of the many laudable project of the chairman Ambassador Kanu Nwankwo aimed at transforming the team and expressed satisfaction with the work done by the contractor.
