Super Eagles midfielder, Frank Onyeka, advocates for compatriot Victor Osimhen's aspiration to join the Premier League this summer, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Osimhen, with 11 goals and three assists in 16 Serie A appearances for Napoli this season, has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal.

Despite reported interest from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, Osimhen has expressed his desire to eventually play in the Premier League.

Speaking to Sky Sports UK, Onyeka praised Osimhen's tenacity and leadership qualities, highlighting his commitment to winning and pushing his teammates.

“No, no, no! He’s too expensive! He’s a really good guy but he’s someone that wants to win. He doesn’t like to lose, even in training. He always wants to push players around him and try to encourage them. He’s a fighter.” Onyeka said.

On the prospect of Osimhen joining Brentford, Onyeka dismissed the idea due to the forward's perceived high price tag but expressed hope that Osimhen would make the move to the Premier League.

“He’s always there to help the team, fight for the team. Even when the team is down he’ll be the first man to push the team. He never gives up. For me, he was one of the best players in the tournament but people don’t really see what he does.

“Hopefully he comes to the Premier League.”
