Homebased Super Eagles to begin preparations for 2015 CHAN next week

The home-based Super Eagles will start camping and begin preparations for the African Nations Championships in Abuja on Monday, December 14, according to reports.

The Nigeria Football Federation  is expected to release the list of players who will compete for places in the team next week.

Top stars like skipper of the side Gbolahan Salami, his assistant, Chima Akas, goalkeepers, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Femi Thomas, as well as the likes of Austin Obaroakpo, Chisom Chikatara, Paul Onobi and Ezekiel Bassey are expected to be named in the squad.

The team will camp at the Bolton White Hotels and Apartments, Abuja.

The Eagles qualified for the competition following a 2-0 aggregate win against Burkina Faso.

Nigeria will play in Group C in the competition alongside Tunisia, Niger and Guinea.

Rwanda will host the competition from January 16 to February 7, 2016.
