Departing Hearts of Oak coach Herbert Addo

Former Hearts of Oak coach Herbert Addo insists he gave enough opportunities to all players to prove themselves during his short stint at the club.

The experienced trainer is leaving the Accra-based club after reaching an agreement to mutually terminate his contract.

Addo only arrived for a second stint with the Phobians at the beginning of the season.

His appointment was expected to revive the fortunes of the Rainbow club into returning them once more again into a credible title-winning side.

But recent results have been poor, leading to the decision to part ways with the former Asante Kotoko, Aduana Stars and Inter Allies coach.

The departing Addo however insists he has no regrets as he gave more than enough opportunities to all the players to prove themselves since he took over.

“When I came, all the players were given the chance,” he told Angel FM.

“Everybody had a very good chance to showcase what they’ve learnt, what they’re made of etcetera.

“I didn’t have problem with player. I always selected those I was convinced were prepared to die for Hearts of Oak.”
