Nigeria Premier Football League side, Heartland International FC has announced the appointment of famous coach, Kennedy Boboye as its new technical adviser, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Naze Millionaires revealed the news on Wednesday via its social media handles, stating the former two-time league winner has signed for a year.
"We are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with two-time NPFL winning coach Kennedy Boboye
He takes charge of the club's technical team with immediate effect on a 1-year deal with an option of a renewal" A statement by the club read.
Boboye, 49 who had coached Akwa United, Remo Stars, Plateau United, Abia Warriors, Sunshine Stars and Sunshine Queens, won the league in 2017 and 2021 with Plateau United and Akwa United respectively.
The former Super Eagles coach who has stated work immediately stated after his appointment that he believes he can take Heartland International FC out of its current position in the league.
"I am ready for the task. I had different thoughts when I was contacted initially because of the club's position on the league table but with what I have seen on ground I am certain we can pull through.
His first game as Heartland manager will be against defending champions, Enyimba International at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Sunday.
