Paris Saint Germain sporting director Luis Campos has revealed that the French club considered a summer move for Victor Osimhen but admitted that an official offer was not sent to Napoli after they decided to stick to their forwards despite Kylian Mbappe's departure, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.
The Super Eagles striker was subject of interest to the Ligue 1 side as well as to English Premier League outfit Chelsea not forgetting the mega Saudi offer after it was revealed that he would be part of the players that head coach Antonio Conte would count on for the new season.
Chelsea couldn't get a deal over the line due to various issues including the salary package as they pushed for a loan move but neither of these did materialize until the close of the transfer window he was able to move to Turkey with Galatasaray on loan.
Speaking at the Thinking Football Summit in Portugal, Les Parisiens’ sporting director Luis Campos revealed why.
“He was considered as one of the possibilities but we concluded that we were very satisfied with Gonçalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani, and Marco Asensio,” said Campos, in a conference, transcribed by RMC Sport.
Despite the injury to Ramos on the opening day of the Ligue 1 season, PSG did not reignite their interest as they maintained satisfaction with the squad.
