Ghana defender Harrison Afful insists his focus is to win the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and not bothered about his club future at Esperance.
The 28-year-old is rumoured to be on his way out of the Tunisian club after the club omitted his name from this year’s CAF Champions League squad.
Afful is currently preparing with the Black Stars in Seville, Spain ahead of the start of the tournament on January 18 in Equatorial Guinea.
The former Kotoko defender says he’s not bothered about reports linking him away from the Tunisian outfit.
“For me I have my sights set on doing well with the Black Stars and I don’t think I will involve myself in anything that has to do with my club. I am ready for whatever comes my way because I believe in what I can do as a player,” he said
“But for now I want to concentrate on my position in the final squad and also doing well for the Black Stars at the tournament. The issue of my club will be dealt with after the tournament.
The left-back has emerged as one of the top foreign players in the North Africa country with five domestic titles and a CAF Champions League crown under his belt.
He is expected to play a key role for the West Africans as they attempt to win the title which has remained elusive since 1982.
