Hammola Football Club of Ido Osun are the 2022/23 winners of the Osun State Federation Cup, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.
This trophy was unanimously awarded to them on Monday after their opponent for the final, Osun United failed to turn up for the game.
On their way to the final, Hammola FC defeated PJT FA by a lone goal in the semifinal.
Reacting to the win, owner of Hammola FC, Mr. Odeyemi Muhydeen Oladele also known as Odhelee exclusively told Nigeriasoccernet.com how happy he feels to achieve such a remarkable height with his two years old club.
"I feel excited and this is first trophy this year and 2nd time participating in the annual AITEO Cup and been finalist in our participating years, last year we lost to Osun utd, this year we won it. Its a remarkable success for us as Hammola family."
Talking about the opponent not showing up for the final he responded:
"Well, it's unfortunate that opponent didn't show up and this may be due to one reason or other but we are notified about the final.
"My lads carried d zeal to win the match to the match venue but felt bad abt the match not been played.
"I would love the match is played for our fans to enjoy the love the of d game. They have been with us through d years and it's unfortunate the opponent didn't show up," he concluded.
