Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan trained alone with the physical coach on Saturday evening as he strives for full fitness ahead of the 2015 AFCON finals against Côte d'Ivoire.
The 29-year-old has been struggling with an injury he picked up in the quarter final win over Guinea.
Gyan sat out Thursday's comprehensive semi final victory over hosts Equatorial Guinea having failed a late fitness test.
The Black Stars captain however appears to have made tremendous strides in his recovery as he did some light training with the team's physical coach Jamie Lawrence.
Gyan later did some stretches on the sidelines under the watchful eye of team doctor Baba Adamu.
The rest of his colleagues however went on with the evening’s session immediately after Sunday’s finals’ opponent Ivory Coast completed theirs.
The Ghana team will be massively boosted by the possible return of their captain for the final against West African rivals Côte d'Ivoire.
The Black Stars are chasing their first Nations Cup title in over three-decades in the final which will be played in Bata.
