Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday joined the list of well-wishers as he celebrated Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, for leading Napoli to clinch its Seria A title after 33 years, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
The youthful governor sang the praise of the African record breaker stating that “So many stories begin in Lagos and it's always a moment of pride for me to see young people from our city achieving great things.
"A big congratulationsto Victor Osimhen #victorosimhen9 on blazing the trail in the Serie A goal scoring charts, leading your team to the league title as well as breaking George Weah's record as the highest scoring African in the league.

“I look forward to working together soon to take football in Lagos to greater heights.”
Osimhen and his teammates against all odds emerged the champions of the Italian Serie A a fit the last achieved in 33 years ago.
It was also an historic individual moment for the Nigerian who broke two Africans records in the league.
He overtook Samuel Eto'o as the highest scoring African in a single Serie A season and also broke former FIFA player of the year, George Weah's record of the All-time African scorer in the league.
