Nigerian Eagles started their 2024 U-16 Gothia Puma Cup campaign with a draw against Icelandic side, Fylkir in Gothenburg on Monday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Eagles played a 1-1 draw with the team from Iceland at the Kviberg12 Stadium.
Aron Gunnarsson had put the European side ahead in the 6th minute before the Nigerian side restored parity 13 minutes later.
At the end, there was nothing to choose between the two sides in the group 13 encounter as all teams in the group have a point each after IFK Falköping FF and Us Gouvieux also played 1-1.
Nigerian Eagles play US Gouvieux next on Tuesday morning.
