Gothia Cup '24: Beyond Limit play Sporting Lagos in semis as TikiTaka bow out

Nigeria representatives Beyond Limit academy and Sporting Lagos Academy will face off in the semi final of the Gothia Puma trophy B-17 after the two teams won their quarter final matches on Thursday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Beyond Limit defeated Right to Dream of Ghana on penalties while Sporting Lagos beat ASEC of Cote D'Ivoire on penalties to reach the last four.

The Ikenne based academy had played a 1-1 draw against the Ghanaian side after Isaac Chukwudi Anosike's 20 minute goal was cancelled 10 minutes to the end of the encounter before winning 8-7 on penalties.

Sporting Lagos Academy on their part, defeated ASEC 4-3 on penalties after a goalless affair for 60 minute.

Meanwhile, it was end of the road for third Nigerian representative in the Gothia Puma trophy B-17, TikiTaka Football Academy as they lost 1-2 to Swedish side, IF Brommapojkarma.

Beyond Limit and Sporting Lagos will rekindle their rivalry as they go against each other for the final berth in the semi final fixture on Friday evening.
