Gilbert Fiamenyo: Hearts star vows to destroy Kotoko in big clash on Feb 7

Published on: 27 January 2015

In-form Hearts striker Gilbert Fiamenyo has vowed to score against Kotoko when the two giants clash next month, claiming winning a possible goal king accolade without scoring against their arch-rivals will be meaningless.

Fiamenyo has rediscovered his scoring form by bagging an impressive five goals in three Premier League games for the capital-based side.

The ex-Heart of Lions man, who received massive backlash last season, due to his profligacy has suddenly become the poster boy for the former African champions.

Hearts will clash with Kotoko on February 7 in Kumasi and Fiamenyo has vowed to silence Kotoko fans.

“I thank our head coach Herbert Addo for his advice because it has helped me get back to good form,” Fiamenyo is quoted by Kumasi-based Metro FM.

“We will take on Kotoko on 7 February, which I believe to score a goal. As a player, if I score a lot of goals without a goal against Kotoko, it is not worth scoring.

“It is our game against Kotoko in the league that many people would be overwhelmed with my attacking prowess.

This is like Hearts to running their mouth. Before you realize, they will be bragging of bringing in Jujumen from all over the continent.
