Super Falcons forward, Gift Monday, became the heroine for her side, Washington Spirit, as they got a consecutive away win in the National Women's Soccer League, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Gift Monday scored her first goal in her first start and second game for Washington Spirit, which turned out to be the winner against Orlando Pride at Inter&Co Stadium, Orlando, Fla.

Monday got the solitary goal of the game on 64 minutes following a slip-up by goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse, to give Spirit an NWSL match day 5 after last week's win over Racing Louisville FC at Lynn Family Stadium.

Monday's goal helps the Washington Spirit get revenge against the Pride with their first win in Orlando since 2019.

Gift and the Washington Spirit are third on the log with 12 points same as Orlando Pride, after 5 matches play Gotham FC on Saturday in their game to continue on a winning path.
