Ghanaian supporters have been assured of effective security and protection for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations semi final clash on Thursday.

The Black Stars will be facing Equatorial Guinea in Malabo for a place in Sunday’s finals.

Fears are rife amongst Ghanaian fans over their safety for the all-important semi final game.

Several Ghanaian residents in Equatorial Guinea have asked the media to highlight their concerns ahead of the game.

Steps are however being taken by the relevant authorities to ensure an incident free semi final game.

A team comprising of CAF officials, the Local Organizing Committee and leaders of the Ghanaian community in Equatorial Guinea inspected facilities at the Malabo Stadium on Wednesday.

Portions of the Orange Stand – just opposite the dressing room entrance area – has been designated exclusively for Ghanaian fans for the game.

The Ghanaian supporters will also be ushered to and fro the stadium on Thursday with a convoy of protection from the Police.

The Ghanaian fans have been directed to remain in stands after the game for the home fans to exit the stadium before they make their way to their designated buses.

The team also inspected facilities at the media center ahead of the game on Thursday.
