German-born Ghanaian defender Philemon Ofosu-Ayeh scored the match-winner for struggling Aalen as they sneaked past Bundesliga campaigners Eintracht Braunschweig 2-1 in the German Bundesliga II on Saturday.
The 23-year-old nodded home for the decider in the 69th minute as Aalen better than survival hopes though they still languish in the relegation zone.
Though Aalen have not enjoyed a good season in the German second-tier decision, Ayeh has distinguished himself in defence and attacking roles, creating a host of scoring chances for his team-mates.
One of such influences helped Aalen to collect all the maximum points at the Scholz Arena before 7000 home fans.
Ayeh was born to a Ghanaian father and a German mother in the European country and he has openly declared his intentions of playing for Ghana.
