Ghanaian-born Swedish youth international defender Joseph Baffo has completed his move to German Bundesliga II side Eintracht Braunschweig on Sunday. 

The 22-year-old passed medicals on Saturday and put his hands under a 3-year-contract for The Lions who are seeking to make a return to the German top-flight.

He joins from Swedish Allsvenskan side Halmstad BK and joins his Ghanaian compatriot Philemon Ofosu-Aryeh at the club.

Baffo took to his official Facebook page to express his delight about his move to the club.

"I would like to thank the friends and family for all the support you have given me till this day. Also a big thank you to everyone who followed me during these years and during the U21, big thank you for all the congratulations message you have sent me, you are golden! But now, new challenges await us and it is with pleasure that I announce that I signed for my new club," he said.

He was linked with several European clubs including FC Sion, Olympiakos, Norwich City, AIK Solna, Hellas Verona and Spanish side Celta de Vigo.
