Ghanaian actress Joselyn Dumas is co-emcee for Glo CAF Awards

Ghanaian actress, Joselyn Canfor-Dumas and South African television host, Robert Marawa have been confirmed emcees for the 2014 Glo-CAF Awards Gala.

The duo will steer the show billed for Thursday, 8 January 2015 in Lagos, Nigeria, and to celebrate and honour African footballers and officials who distinguished themselves during the year under review.

Dumas, a popular face on television across the continent, her debut on screen as the host of Ghanaian local entertainment show, Rhythmz, which saw her interview many celebrities.

She was later head hunted by one of Ghana’s biggest Television Networks, Viasat 1, to host the network’s first own produced flagship Talk show, The One Show, which was aired from 2010 – 2014. She is currently the host of a new TV talk show @ Home with Joselyn Dumas, which is aired across Africa and parts of Europe.

On the otherhand, is a South African sports journalist and television/ radio personality. currently works as a presenter for Super Sport in addition to hosting i083 Sports@6 on Metro FM? in Johannesburg. Popularly known as “Madluphuthu,” Marawa is currently hosting the Discovery Sports Centre 6-7pm and weekdays on Metro FM. He also hosts soccer shows, particularly European Champions League review and update on Supersport.

It will be recalled that Marawa co-compered the 2011 Edition of Glo-CAF Awards in Accra, Ghana alongside ex-Ghana International Tony Baffoe.

Also expected to add colour to the night are artistes from different parts of Africa including Global jazz icon, Hugh Masekela from South Africa, Congo DR’s multiple award-winning singer and guitarist, Fally Ipupa, Nigeria’s sensations Flavour and Lagbaja, pan-African group, Cirque D’Afrique, Soweto Gospel Choir from South Africa, Tanzania’s prominent multiple award winning singer, Diamond and sensational singing group from South Africa, Uhuru amongst others.
