Ghana winger Christian Atsu has been named in the preliminary list for the 2015 Fifa Ballon D'Or shortlist.

According to the Spanish publication, Mundo Deportivo, the on-loan Bournemouth star is among 59 players shortlisted for the award.

He becomes the second Ghanaian player to appear on the list which includes Swansea City star Andre Ayew.

His sterling displays for Ghana at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations where he was adjudged the Most Valuable Player as the Black Stars won silver has named him a slot in there.

Atsu will be rubbing shoulders with world stars like Lionel Messi and Cristiano.

The Spanish publication claims Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette and the PSG trio of Javier Pastore, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani are all in there.

But the real fact still remains that this wonder kid would be droppped by the time we are left with Christiano, Lionel and the invisible third. But the fact still remains that Christian needs to step up his English game

I agree, he needs to up his work ethnics. 'Atsu ni aye' style of play doesn't work in the premiership, they call it laziness. The only thing standing between him and stardom is laziness. He doesn't chase loose balls... and barely tackles.
