Ghana U23 coach Malik Jabir has named nine foreign-based players in his provisional 28-man squad for the 2015 All Africa Games tournament in September.

They include US-based Abdul Fatawu Safiu, Reagan Obeng of Cukaricki and Birmingham City’s Kobby Arthur.

Four players goalkeeper Muntawakilu Siedu, Patrick Asmah and Samuel-from the Ghana U20 team which played at the FIFA World Cup in New Zealand also made the cut.

The invited are expected to meet up at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Thursday at exactly 4:00pm.

Ghana are seeking to defend the gold medal they won at the 2011 Games in Maputo, Mozambique.

The Black Meteors have been handed a tough draw comprising Nigeria, Senegal and Egypt.

The tournament will be played in Brazzaville, Congo from 03-18 September.

    How do call a goalkeeper who could not command the first choice even at the lower stage. If you wanted to promote the U-20 boys why not rather the 1st choice goalkeeper who did extremely well. False start.

    Perhaps it would be wrong to judge him by his exploits at clubside,because at the national its different.
