Ghana U20 coach Sellas Tetteh has turn his sights on winning the Africa Youth Championships having achieved his target of World Cup qualification.
The Black Satellites came from behind to beat Zambia 2-1 to book its semi final place at the ongoing tournament in Senegal.
The win also secures Ghana’s place at the U20 World Cup to be hosted by New Zealand in June.
Coach Sellas Tetteh now says his team will be setting out to win the competition after achieving its first target of World Cup qualification.
“Now we don’t have to talk about the World Cup again, we now talk about the ultimate,” he said.
“The first hurdle we have to clear is Mali then we look forward to the ultimate.”
Ghana will be hoping to reclaim the championship they last won in 2009.
The Black Satellites finish as runners up to Egypt in the last edition of the AYC.
