Ghana U20 management chief Wilfed Osei is confident Godfred Donsah will emerge one of the star performers at the World Cup.
The 18-year-old is one of the marquee players to join the Black Satellites squad for the World Cup to commence in New Zealand over the weekend.
Donsah comes into the Ghana team as a big name player who featured prominently for Cagliari in the Serie-A and is expected to light up the world youth stage.
There are however fears the rising star who has been linked to a move to the English Premier League could crumble under the pressure of this huge expectation.
But Ghana U20 management committee chairman Wilfred Osei believes the youngster will excel under the guidance of renowned youth coach Sellas Tetteh.
“Godfred Donsah I know is a very good player who can play as many as six positions,” he said.
“He is also playing under an experienced coach like Sellas Tetteh who has in the past coached the likes of Dede Ayew to excel.
“So I don’t think the pressure will get to Godfred Donsah especially while playing under such a coach like Borbor [Sellas Tetteh].”
